Mosquitoes, it's a biting bug counties across eastern Carolina battle every Summer; how often and how much depends upon where you live.
Some counties like Craven and Pitt use preventative spraying and spray on an as needed basis as well as set traps, while counties like Beaufort spray for mosquitoes on a complaint basis only.
Officials with Craven County say the funding they receive for labor and materials is ample.
Beaufort County Health Director Roxanne Holloman says they have plenty of supplies but more help is needed when it comes to the actual spraying.
