If your a traveling on Highway 33 around the Avon Road area, you may need to allow yourself some extra time this week.
A ten mile section of the highway in both directions around Avon Road will be closed Monday from 8 a.m. through the rest of the work week. Construction will end at 5 p.m. on Friday. There will be a 10.4 mile detour for drivers. The detour will take drivers to Mobley Bridge Road and leave them at the other end of Avon Road.
