Artist Unveils Military Views

A nationally-known artist from Swansboro is capturing some unique views of every military families' happiest day, Homecoming Day.

Marsha Mills was at Jacksonville's Council for the Arts Sunday afternoon, unveiling the first 2 of her 4 new paintings. They depict Homecoming Days, with families welcoming their marines and sailors back to Jacksonville. Both Mills and the military families at that event say its a huge honor to share their happiest day, to help others.

The Officers' Wives Clubs at Camp Lejeune and New River Air Station are coordinating the project, with proceeds going to project care to support military families.
