It wasn't a field trip to Office Depot that brought a school bus to its store front. Its a campaign to make sure every kid is prepared this school year.
The Fill The Bus Program is an attempt to literally fill the bus with school supplies for the children of Pitt County. The campaign kicked off Friday, and officials say this is a great weekend for people to contribute school supplies like pens, pencils, paper, notebooks, and such, since this is also the sales tax free weekend as well.
There are drop sites in every city in Pitt County and at a number of businesses, schools, and other organizations. Remember you have four weeks left to help make this school year a good one for a needy child.
