There is normally a crucial need for blood this time of year, and this Fourth of July is no exception. That's why the American Red Cross parked in front of our WITN Greenville Studio on Arlington Boulevard for a blood drive Friday.
Eighty one pints were collected, surpassing the goal of 40. Officials say they are still in emergency mode and the donor center in Greenville will be open everyday from now until Thursday.
