Carteret County will find out Tuesday if three coastal projects will be funded with money provided from the General Assembly.
State lawmakers set aside 20-million dollars for coastal projects and development of the waterfront. The committee evaluating the projects initially received 159 requests and reduced that to 20.
Among the projects in Carteret County, A new Emerald Isle fishing pier, the Newport River public access in Morehead City, and a 21 acre tract of land in Cedar Point.
The committee will make its final recommendations Tuesday at a meeting in Raleigh.
