The N.C. Department of Transportation's Ferry Division has suspended the ferry service between Bayview and Aurora across the Pamlico River today, March 9.
High winds and low water have made it unsafe for vessels to cross the waters of the Pamlico River.
Service is expected to resume once winds subside and the water in the Pamlico River rises enough to make it safe to cross.
For updated information please call the Bayview-Aurora terminal at 252-964-4521.
