The steamy temperatures weren't enough to keep some golfers from teeing off Tuesday. The Log-a-Load for Kids golf open was held Tuesday afternoon at the Greenville Country Club. Twenty-four teams battled their way through the heat to benefit the Log-a-Load campaign which helps support the Children's Miracle Network. North Carolina's CMN ambassador, Davis Pugh kicked off the event with a putt on the 18th hole. His father Frankie also participated. Tournament organizers say they're pleased with this year's turnout.
