Its almost here. The biggest fishing tournament in our state is set to kick off Monday along the Crystal Coast.
The hooks are almost baited, the boats almost fueled up for the early morning start of the 47th Annual Big Rock Blue Marlin Fishing Tournament set to begin Monday. One of the big draws of the tournament is the potential to win some major cash, and already that purse is over a million totaling nearly 1,327,000 dollars. Also as of 3 Sunday afternoon, 168 boats had entered the fishing competition, with more expected. WITN will have extensive coverage, featuring a number of reporters in Morehead City, live broadcasts, and of course the fish weigh-ins.
