Man Drowns Along the Outer Banks at Nags Head

drowning

There's been another drowning this week, this time on the Outer Banks at Nags Head. Lifeguards had to pull five people from the surf late Wednesday afternoon, one of which died on scene. The drowning victim is a 40-year-old Illinois man. Officials say the man got into trouble, and two members of his party jumped in the ocean to save him, and became overwhelmed themselves. Two more beachgoers tried to assist and they too got in trouble.
