"Operation Zero Tolerance"

New Bern is getting some help to fight crime in its neighborhoods. The City and Craven County kicked off "Operation Zero Tolerance" Thursday morning. That's an initiative by federal, state and local agencies to reduce gun violence in communities across America. Greenville, Wilmington and Fayetteville are already "Project Safe Neighborhoods" sites in Eastern Carolina. Also joining New Bern's effort are Havelock and Trent Woods police, Craven County sheriffs deputies, and the district attorney along with state probation and parole agents.
