Eric Lane is on trial in Goldsboro for the May 2002 rape and murder of five year old Precious Whitfield. His first trial last November ended in a mistrial because of comments in the jury pool room about a possible punishment. Now, a juror says someone approached her during a lunch recess and told her to do the right thing. At least four other jurors heard the comment. The judge in the case says people need to understand that actions like those can lead to mistrials.
