When the rain came down Thursday the cars started slipping and sliding. Lawmen say the rain played a part in several accidents in the early afternoon. In Craven County officers say a car hydroplaned leading to a three vehicle collision East bound on Highway 70 just South of the Trent River bridge in James City. No one was injured.
