Shelters Shutout PETA

Animal shelters in Bertie and Northampton counties have stopped giving animals to PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, after learning the group euthanized cats and dogs and dumped them in trash bins. A PETA spokeswoman says the organization wants to try and mend the relationships with the two counties.
