Hitting the pool and staying cool this summer. Hundreds of children in Eastern Carolina are beating the heat by competing in area swim teams. The Washington Whitecaps have been around for five seasons and are one of the eight teams in the Greenville Area Swim League. White Caps has more than 100 team members and the swimming the kids do provides good exercise as well as a good time. The league starts up in mid May and runs until the end of July.
