Woman Leaves Money to Firefighters

An Outer Banks woman wanting to better her community named local firefighters as big benefactors of her estate. The late Virginia Dunaye has left the Kitty Hawk Firefighters Association over $48,000 in her will that was used to purchase a new emergency response truck. Prior to the purchase, firefighters had to use old police cars, which they say were too cramped for rescue equipment, and couldn't drive on the beach.
