Staying Cool In Hot Weather

Video will be available shortly.

As temperatures continue to rise, folks without air conditioning, especially the elderly, are already starting to have difficulty dealing with the heat.
The Pitt County Council on Aging delivers over 100 circulating fans, for free, to folks over 60 each year. The organization says they have delivered nearly 60 fans so far and the summer isn't even here yet. Unable to afford air conditioning, 65-year old Mary Langley, was among the recipients of a fan.
The council on aging says folks applying for a fan, must be at least 60-years old, and not have working air conditioning. Many counties have similar programs. You can contact your county government for more information.
