Beaufort County had some unfortunate deja vu Saturday, with two fatal wrecks.
Saturday morning at around 7 a.m. Highway Patrol Troopers say 19 year old Stacy Lynette Moore tried to pass a car in a no passing lane when she hit 37 year old Elbert Roy Taylor head on. Roy only suffered minor injuries. Troopers say that speed was not a factor, just that Moore tried to pass on a blind curve.
And it was almost an exact copy later that night. At around 7:30 p.m., troopers say 49 year old Ernest Sparrow tried to pass a car on his motorcycle in a no passing curve. He hit a toyota driven by Clarence Keys head on killing Sparrow instantly. Troopers say that alcohol and speed may have been factors.
