New Jersey Fugitives Caught in Washington

Washington Police were called to apprehend two men fleeing New Jersey accused of almost beating a person to death.

It was a joint effort between Washington Police, Pitt County lawmen, and New Jersey authorities that allowed the capture of two men wanted from the state of New Jersey for an aggravated assault that has left one person hospitalized. An all points bulletin went out for the two just after midnight Saturday morning, giving a brief description of the suspects vehicle and their assumed destination. Washington City Police spotted the gold Cadillac the two men were in and detained them at the Beaufort County Magistrates office. From there they will be extradited back to New Jersey.
