Two Killed in Shooting in Greenville

Two men who were gunned down at the corner of Bancroft, Farmville Boulevard, and Watauga Avenue around 1:30 Saturday morning in Greenville.

According to witnesses, the gunmen fired 12 shots, which police say killed 22 year old Maurice Bennett, and 19 year old Malcomn Barnhill near the Greenville Stop One Convenience store. Police say a third victim was taken to Pitt County Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released.

Neither the motive nor the suspects have been identified. Anyone with information is asked to call Greenville Police, or the Crimestoppers Hotline.
