Coast Receives Close to Six Inches of Rain

Video will be available shortly.

A soggy mess up and down the coast of Eastern Carolina. Several inches of rain drenched much of the Crystal Coast, causing some low-level flooding, rip currents and wet road conditions. The town of Beaufort received nearly six inches of rain. That's the same amount of rain that soaked the town during Hurricane Isabel, according to emergency management officials. At the beach, gusty winds, rainy weather and rough seas kept some out of the water, but surfers say the recent weather created the first decent waves in awhile.
