The beginning of June marked the beginning of hurricane season. Experts say don't wait until were under a hurricane threat to start preparing. As soon as the season starts, that's when experts say you need to start getting ready. Hurricane season ends November 30. Renowned hurricane forecaster Dr. William Gray at Colorado State University predicts 15 named storms, with eight of those becoming hurricanes. Eastern Carolina's hurricane peak forecast is usually during the months of August, September and October.
