Two Kinston men are behind bars after authorities say they played a role in the beating death of another man over the weekend. Forty-two-year-old Lawrence Wilson and 26-year-old Joseph Chadwick are charged with assaulting 25-year-old Terry Edwards of Ayden, following a dispute at a birthday party. Authorities say the dispute involved two girls arguing over a boy. Edwards got involved and was chased by a group of men. Authorities say after they caught up to him, Edwards was kicked repeatedly and died.
