It happens every year about this time: A rise in stolen lawn equipment. Craven County authorities say their reports are already up, but that the problem plagues people all over Eastern Carolina. Lawmen say you should lock up your lawn mowers and other equipment when you're done using them. But that may not even be enough. Officials say some thieves will break into sheds in order to get the valuable equipment.
