The significance of Memorial Day is amplified by those who will always hold dear the truths of this great nation. That was the message Monday as hundreds came out to the New Bern National Cemetery to honor those who served our country. Veterans there say Monday's ceremonies show support for those fighting for our freedoms overseas. The National Cemetery was decorated with seven thousand flags at the individual graves, along with an avenue of 120 flags down the middle of the cemetery.
