Lenoir County officials are investigating two murders. The first one happened in Kinston around 1:38 a.m. Sunday morning, when 32 year old Dante Wright was shot and killed on the 1500 block of East Caswell Street. Police officers say there were several witnesses to the shooting and they are interviewing all of them. Luckily no one else was shot.
Officials say the second murder happened out in the county Saturday night around 10 o'clock. Lenoir County Sheriff's officials said they got called to 1577 Bonnie Lane and once deputies arrived they found 25 year old, Terry Terrell Edwards bleeding from the head. Officials say he was pronounced dead at Lenoir Memorial Hospital and that he had been beaten to death. 26 year old Joseph Daniel Chadwick Junior turned himself in for the crime, but deputies are still looking for 42 year old Lawrence Allen Wilson.
