This summer will be an extended one for kids in public school and that means nearly an extra month of summer vacation. With that in mind, many businesses along the Crystal Coast say they are thrilled with the opportunity to make some extra money. Officials with the Crystal Coast Tourism Authority say the extra few weeks could mean millions of dollars for the coast. Some businesses say they may even open their doors seven days a week if it means money can be made. State legislation recently passed requires most public schools in our state to restart closer to Labor Day instead of early August.
