More Remnants Recovered From Shipwreck

More treasures from Blackbeard's supposed flagship have been pulled up from the waters off Carteret County.

Researchers say they've pulled up artifacts ranging from a 2,500-pound cannon to a captain's toilet and wine glasses from the ship wreckage about two miles off Atlantic Beach.

A smaller cannon was retrieved Tuesday, part of a month-long
research expedition. Divers also have found a broken piece of stemware. The four-sided design of the stem of a wineglass dates the artifact to between 1710 and 1720.

Both cannons have been taken to the Queen Anne's Revenge
conservation laboratory at East Carolina University in Greenville.
