Authorities are investigating who may have stolen pieces of an antique statue donated to the city of Goldsboro in 1916. This statue base and bowl were reported stolen from the Wayne County Museum Thursday and later found in pieces by museum officials at a local salvage yard. The pieces, which officials say may be worth at least $30,000, were sold from the salvage yard for $168.00. President of Wayne County's Historical Society says he will work to restore the statue. The Wayne County Historical Society says an exact replica of the statue now stands in Goldsboro's Herman Park.
