It was a messy drama at Manteo High School, but for local teens the message was clear: Don't drink and drive. Prior to prom night, Dare County's "Students Against Drunk Driving" teamed up with first responders on Roanoke Island to show juniors and seniors what a fatal crash can look like. Many attended an alcohol-free event at the YMCA well into the night following the big dance.
