The call of the auctioneer took the place of a game's announcer inside Minges Coliseum at East Carolina University Saturday night.
Its all part of the Annual Pirate Club Auction, and it pitted 500 to 600 people against each other for some of the hottest items in Eastern Carolina. Furniture, sporting equipment, jewelry, and much more was all up for grabs to the highest bidder, but all of it also, in an effort to help out the scholarship pirate athletes.
The auction was set to end around 10:30 Saturday night, but folks said they would stick around until all the items were sold.
