Holes in the floor and a leaking septic tank will soon be a thing of the past for one Beaufort County family. Last summer we interviewed Pearlie Hamilton of Aurora about her living conditions. She has now applied for financial assistance for urgent home repairs from the Beaufort County agency "SANE" or Southside Alliance for Neighborhood Empowerment. We're happy to report Hamilton did receive grant money and contractors have been working at her house for the past few days tearing up floors, painting, and putting in new kitchen fixtures. In order to obtain grant money from SANE, you must meet certain financial and family qualifications.
