Surprise Snow In The Triad

Forecasters say a surprise overnight snowfall and cold temperatures could make North Carolina roads difficult to drive.

The National Weather Service said some areas in the Triad saw more than two inches of snow overnight. Freezing temperatures across the state could leave black ice on the roads, and officials are warning drivers to use extreme caution.

Forecasters said temperatures should rise above freezing in most
areas after 9 a.m.
