Police say foul play is suspected in the case of a missing Havelock man whose body was found in a wooded area Saturday afternoon.

Captain William Dodson of the Havelock Police department told WITN that lawmen have identified the body of 24 year old Matthew Wayne Inserra. Authorities say his body was dumped in a wooded area in Carteret County. Inserra's remains were discovered Saturday afternoon but just how police were lead to the location of his body is unclear at this time.

However one female, 28 year old Shannon Jones of Havelock has been arrested for filing a false report in relation to this crime. Inserra went missing April 3rd, but was not reported as missing until the 9th. Police say they are investigating a number of suspects in his death from both Craven and Carteret County. Inserra's body will be sent to Chapel Hill medical examiners to identify cause of death.
