Wilson Police are investigating a beating death and possible stabbing. Police say they went to 2712 apartment 7-D, on Forest Hills Road on Friday around two in the afternoon, and found 54 year old Charles Barnes dead. Officers say Barnes had been beaten and possibly stabbed, and no forced entry was found into the apartment. Police are still investigating the murder, but if you have any information about this case, contact the police department.
