One man is dead and police in a small Eastern Carolina town are now on the hunt for his killer. It happened in the Wayne County town of Mount Olive, just before midnight Monday night. Police were called to Kornegay and Church Streets, where they found 33-year-old Russel Nickelson bleeding in a front yard. He died at the scene. Lawmen do not have a motive, but are searching for a suspect in that shooting.
