Fire Sweeps Through Three Story Home

A massive fire roared through a three story home in the Dare County town of Kill Devil Hills last night about nine p.m. Two people inside the home on West Landing Street were taken to the hospital, but are expected to be okay. Firefighters say there was some concern that a third occupant was inside when the flames erupted, but no one was found. The heat was so powerful it melted the vinyl siding of the home next door. No word yet on a cause.
