One Million Dollar Donation to Children's Hospital

It's the largest donation given by one person ever to the Children's Hospital of Greenville. Tuesday, Ashley Turner of Turner Home Building donated $1million dollars on behalf of his company. The money is earmarked for the hospital's future kids immunosupressed special unit, or KISU for short. The 12 bed unit will provide a completely enclosed environment for children whose immune systems are weakened, such as during intensive chemotherapy for aggressive cancer. Turner is not an unfamiliar voice for the children's hospital. He has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Children's Miracle Network over the past few years. You'll have your chance to support this important effort, coming up June 4 and 5, as we help make miracles happen right here on WITN-7 during the annual CMN Broadcast.
