Local Red Cross Volunteers Always Ready To Help

By  |

Whether it be Hurricane Katrina or the storm battered region of Tennessee, the men and women with the Red Cross, are some of the first responders on the ground after a disaster strikes.

The Onslow County chapter is always ready, and usually sends volunteers to major disasters.

Although the volunteers were not deployed to the battered region of the southeast there are 58 volunteers waiting to go.

Earlier this year, 3 volunteers from the Onslow chapter returned from a 2 week deployment to California in the wildfire region.
