One man is dead after running from police and colliding head on with a tractor trailer in Duplin County Sunday night. It started in Wayne County when Goldsboro police tried to stop Tyron Maguel Best of Greenville. State troopers say police officers spotted Best doing 70 in a 55 zone. They chased him all the way to the Duplin County town of Calypso. That's when Best’s Range Rover crossed the median on Highway 117 and ran head on into an 18 wheeler. Best died at the scene. The truck's driver, Mario Polanco of Wilson, suffered only non life threatening injuries.
