England Pleads Guilty

The woman at the heart of the Abu Ghraib prison scandal has pleaded guilty. Army Private Lynndie England entered guilty pleas to two counts of conspiracy to mistreat prisoners, four counts of maltreating prisoners, and one count of committing an indecent act. Prosecutors dropped two other charges as part of a plea agreement. The plea lowers her possible sentence From 16 and a-half years to eleven years in prison.
