Girls of all ages put their best foot forward on the great lawn at the Elizabethan Gardens this Sunday. They were performing for Barbara Hird in her role as Queen Elizabeth, in the first annual May Day Celebration. Many Dare County youth spend their hours after school at studios like Island Dance learning the moves. The program drew hundreds of parents and patrons to the gardens and wrapped up with a traditional weave around the Maypole. The Elizabethan Gardens are in full spring bloom right now.
