New Bern Police say a wanted fugitive is behind bars Saturday, thanks to some tips from the community.
Police say they found 29 year old Christopher Combs around 8:40 Friday night hiding in the back of a closet at a home at 903 West Street in New Bern. Police say he was wanted in Pamlico County for parole violation, and in Craven County for doing illegal gang tattoos on kids under the age of 18. Police say Combs was a wanted gang member so they called in their Special Response Team and Tactical Unit to make the arrest. Combs is being held without bond at the Craven County Jail.
