WITN-7 Weather Alert

Severe weather threatens Eastern Carolina Saturday. Severe thunderstorms with high winds, heavy rains and damaging hail are expected to move into the area throughout the afternoon and evening. A thunderstorm watch is in effect for Nash, Wilson and Wayne counties until 4 p.m. Other counties in Eastern Carolina also will be impacted by the severe weather. A gale warning is in place off our coast, from Hatteras Canyon to Cape Fear. Stay tuned to WITN-7 for the latest information.
