Stopping the Violence

Video will be available shortly.

Another violent incident in Pitt County involving teenagers has members of law enforcement and the community struggling for a solution. It's another drive by shooting in Greenville. Last week, lawmen say a car pulled up to a residence on Chestnutt Street and fired several shots in the direction of a group sitting on the porch. Police say some members of the group on the porch fired back, hitting 16-year-old Thomas James in the face. Two suspects in the shooting Michael Twann Harris and Thomas James, both of Greenville have been arrested. Pitt County Sheriff Mac Manning, members of the NAACP, Greenville police and community members are coming together in an effort to stop these violent acts before they occur.
