Investigators with the Wilson Police Department have arrested a suspect they believe killed a witness who testified earlier this week in an attempted murder trial. The body of 34-year-old Corey Clay was found inside his home on Carolina Street. Police say Clay died of multiple stab wounds. Late Tuesday afternoon police arrested 28-year-old Terry Edwards of Fayetteville. On Monday Clay testified in the attempted murder trial of Ed Lee Edwards the Third. Terry Edwards is charged with one count of murder, and one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon.
