A Navy corpsman who witnessed the shooting death of two Iraqis during a search for a terrorist hideout says he saw no cause for a Camp Lejeune officer to shoot the men in the back. The statement came in testimony during a hearing for Second Lieutenant Ilario Pantano at Camp Lejeune, who admits he shot the Iraqis, but says he fired because he thought the men were attacking him. Pantano is facing an Article 32 hearing in military court to determine if he'll face a court-martial for his actions. One person expressing his support for Lieutenent Pantano is Third District Congressman, Republican Walter Jones. Congressman Jones has stated charging Lieutenent Pantano with murder is wrong, and detrimental to the morale of America.
