The goal is to give young people a chance at a higher education. Tuesday night Pitt Community College had one of its biggest fundraising events for its scholarship program at Rock Springs in Pitt County. The evening began with rides in a hot air balloon to get people ready for a live auction to a raffle of an electric scooter to a grill on the silent auction. One-hundred percent of the monies raised go to the scholarship program.
