The verdict is in for Doc Watson, the suspect accused of rape and larcency in Beaufort County.
The jury took only a few hours Monday at the courthouse in Washington before handing over its decision of guilty on both counts.
This is the second trial for Watson, who was accused of raping a Beaufort County school employee last summer. The first trial ended in a mistrial.
Watson was also sentenced Monday, to at least 27 years behind bars.
