It was the surprise of a lifetime for a second grader Tuesday in Carteret County.
Eight year old Dylan Kuczka didn't think his daddy would be home from Iraq, until February 3rd ,but that all changed Tuesday morning at Morehead City Primary School. His father, Chad, a Staff Sergeant stationed at Cherry Point, hid in the classroom ready to surprise Dylan.
Dylan says he's been counting down the days until his daddy was home, so he can go to the pool and beach with him. Kuczka was away from his family for more than a year.
Kuczka is stationed at cherry point. he says he thinks it will be at least a year before his next deployment.

That was a beautiful scene to watch. I just wish those other students who witnessed it, who also have parents in the military could experience the same thing. I am sure even though they were happy for Dylan, they must had been heartbroken to know it didnt happen to them. They all have our so called president to thank for that. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those children of military families. I hope in due time, they all will have a happy ending!!
